1854 NEW ORLEANS LA DEED FOR LEVERICH FAMILY OF LA & NY
ATTRACTIVE old 3-page part-printed, part-manuscript deed 10 x 15” on light blue paper as follows: “STATE OF LOUISIANA CITY OF NEW ORLEANS…came and appeared Joshua M. Johnston of this city, the agent & attorney in fact for Mr. CHARLES P. LEVERICH of the City and State of New York, etc.” The deed apparently concerns a sale of property from William Edward Leverich of New Orleans to Charles P. Leverich of New York City. The manuscript writing is quite legible & attractive. This old deed is in good condition except for a few small holes at crossing fold lines, some small chips along the edges, and mild staining on the back page (see scan). The old paper is made with excellent rag content. Scan shows 2 pages, back, & some enlarged detail of the first page.
