1920 PHOTO CHRISTMAS TREE GIFTS, OLD METAL TRUCKS TRAIN
SUPER old 1920 folder-mounted photograph (large 7 x 9.5” size) showing TWO mixed-race children posing for the camera under their CHRISTMAS TREE. On the tree are hung many elaborate decorations, garlands, ornaments, etc. One child beats a drum, the second child holds a whistle(?). There is a large pile of opened gifts & toys including a ABC chalk board, Indian Chief feather headdress, readable title on a children’s BOOK OF TEN ANIMALS, etc. ALSO there appears to be a metal STEAM ENGINE - LOCOMOTIVE and two pressed metal CARS or TRUCKS. Perhaps a collector could recognize the maker of these toys, BUDDY L or whomever. Written on the cardboard picture folder in dark ink is: “>I>To Mrs. Trueheart from Mildred & Thomas Curtis Xmas 1920.” The photo itself is in quite good condition but the cardboard picture folder has split along the folds into four unattached pieces.
