I haven’t researched what the Baltimore, Maryland “CROSS ST. HALL RIOTS” entailed, but this 3 1/4" x 8 ½" receipt from May 1879 from the CRIMINAL COURT of Baltimore awarded Upshur Clabaugh $7.50 for 3 days “attendance as a Talisman in the case of the State against Cross St. Hall Rioters”. An interesting old document. Several 1" tears into document. Chipped edges and some staining (see scan).
