BEAUTIFUL HAND TINTED PAPER PHOTOGRAPH SET IN MOURNING?

This paper photo of a young or middle-aged woman measures about 1" across.
The frame of the pin in which it is housed measures about 1 ½" across. The casing (brass?), pin,
and clasp are all in good condition. The image itself is in great condition and dates to
approximately the Civil War era. It is quite delicately hand tinted. The two BLACK BANDS
around the circular setting likely denotes MOURNING.
